The Office International du Coin de Terre et des Jardins Familiaux is the most important, European non-profit making union of national allotment and leisure garden federations with more than 2,000,000 affiliated leisure gardeners and leisure garden families.
The International Office was founded in Luxembourg on 3rd October 1926.
The International Office unifies the national federations from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
From 2006 until 2016 the Japanese allotment garden federation (Association for Japan Allotment Garden) was linked to the Office by an associative agreement. End of 2016 it became full member of the International Office.
The International Office has the participative status with the Council of Europe. www.coe.int

Since 2015 the International Office is member of the Luxembourgish platform for the week without pesticides.
